In the spirit of the Christmas season, representatives of the Flowers Group last Wednesday (25 November) presented early gifts for Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) clients.
Minister of Community Affairs and Housing, the Hon. Mike Adam, MBE and Flowers Group Managing Director Frank Flowers, watched Flowers Group Director Dara Flowers-Burke hand over a supply of 75 pairs of shoes and sports gear to DCFS Deputy Director Alicia 'Jen' Dixon.
Expressing his appreciation, the Minister said: "This is an excellent demonstration of good corporate citizenship. I am grateful that the Flowers Group is helping to make Christmas much brighter for some of our residents."
Mrs. Flowers-Burke noted that the company was pleased to give back to the community, especially at this time of year.
She added that the gesture was in keeping with the company's deep commitment to the Islands, particularly to the development of sports-readily evident in events such as the Flowers Sea Swim.
The sporting gear included cricket bats, gloves and pads, all of which will be donated to the Cayman Islands Cricket Association for the national programme.
Thanking Flowers personnel for their generosity, Ms. Dixon explained that the remaining supplies will be distributed to clients in all districts.
